So, when I posted the picture of Ethan “Running toward tomorrow…“, I said, “…I’m right behind you.” This might be a little misleading. While he was running with abandon, I was sitting and enjoying the sound of the ocean. I guess we each enjoy nature in our own way: the boys ran around and played in the waves and built sand castles, and the girls sunbathed and…built sand castles. I sat, listened and tried my best to keep from getting too much sun (I am nearly forty, after all!).

So, my idea of a fun day at the beach is much different than it was 20 years ago (when it was my personal goal to get as much sun as humanly possible…).

Now, this is my idea of a bathing suit (by the way, the “hump” on my back is my bathing suit tie - which never saw the light of day, believe me!) :

Oh well, I’m having my own kind of fun at the beach.
