Happy, Happy…(it is Wednesday, isn’t it?)

So, it’s a beautiful day. Sunny and warm. Just like spring should be in “The Sunshine State”.

I potted some red geraniums on the front porch a couple of days ago…I LOVE red geraniums…they are such a happy flower. Now, I’m trying to find a good spot for my bird feeders…I miss my red cardinals so.

I also need to find a good spot for my roses - not on the back porch, though - Axel loves to eat my plants - and I don’t think the thorns would deter him at all…oh well, that’s my Axel Barbarian! (emphasis on the “barbarian” part). He’s made mince-meat of a couple of gardenias I was getting ready to plant…mainly to cover the “big dog scent” that’s taking over the porch area….I guess he didn’t want me to plant something that would make things smell “pretty”…barbarian that he is!

I can’t believe that this coming Sunday is Easter. This year is already going by so fast…at least spring is on the way! :-)

Now I can become completely obsessed again with my flowers and songbirds…and forgo my obsession with rum raisin ice cream and butterfinger cones!

I still haven’t made it to yoga class…I will, though. I can feel the yoga-ish-ness building. I think yoga will also be one of my springtime obsessions…

Anyway, Happy Wednesday. Happy, happy - it’s almost Easter, so springtime is officially here, and I’m gonna be a rose-planting, bird-watching, yoga-doing, obsessed Florida girl…yea! Happy Wednesday! Happy, happy - I’m not gonna be a hibernating-cuz-it’s-too-cold, sad because it’s too cloudy, Jewel-listening, rum raisin eating, non-yoga doing, just as obsessed only with the wrong stuff, Florida girl!

(Of course, my obsession with Starbucks is multi-seasonal…What? I can’t be expected to be a total chameleon! Great espresso makes a cold/dreary day warmer and a bright and sunny day that much brighter and sunnier!) :-)
So, Happy Wednesday…and peace out.

I love roses … my man bought me some two valentines’ ago .. He planted them by the air conditioning unit outside so they would always be watered. :o) He’s so cute.
I don’t know where to put my birdfeeders either … I want to get one of those huge mulit hanging cast iron birdfeeders .. but the cranes are always getting into the bird food … any suggestions?

The cranes don’t seem to bother my feeders - I was putting out an open feeder for a while with nuts and fruit…the songbirds loved it, but so did about a zillion huge crows! So, I went back to a small traditional house-looking feeder, with an upside down plate thingy to keep away the squirrels….
all of this just to catch a glimpse of a cardinal…it IS worth it, though - even if they only visit for a moment. Peace out.
