So, I went back to a small traditional house-looking feeder, with an upside down plate thingy to keep away the squirrels.... all of this just to catch a glimpse of a cardinal...it IS worth it, though - even if they only visit for a moment. He planted them by the air conditioning unit outside so they would always be watered. :o) He's so cute. I don't know where to put my birdfeeders either ... I want to get one of those huge mulit hanging cast iron birdfeeders .. but the cranes are always getting into the bird food ... any suggestions?
