So, it’s Monday again. I’m always so tired on Monday - so…blah. I feel like a zombie, but life goes on…the kids have to go back to school, there’s a ton to do…so I just have to get my mind back into the work-week mode - whatever that means.
I am trying to think about all the important things…there are lots of them to keep me grounded:
- praising God that Lauren came through surgery - all the tests are clear and she’s recovering well.
- continuing to pray for my nephew Kael - he had more seizures this weekend.
- praying for my new friends Sola and Joseph (pictured here…she’s gorgeous!) as they return this week from Sola’s mother’s funeral in Nigeria.
- thanking God that so many people have joined together to pray for these and other things…watching their prayers move the hand of God and provide comfort in times of loss - it’s an awesome and powerful thing.
There are many more things…some are much less grand, like:
I was thinking on the way home from church - in the Conrad’s minivan - how the staff of C3 is so flexible…so fluid. Travis drives our Excursion to church every Sunday morning to haul one of the massive C3 trailors…so we trade with him and drive their minivan. Kayleigh trades vehicles with Amanda on the mornings that Amanda sings (Kayleigh gets our kids and the Leathers kids ready and then brings them to church…so she leaves her beetle for Amanda to drive.) There are so many other examples of the “whatever it takes” mentality that is just a part of who we are at C3…it’s like musical chairs…or musical vehicles…or musical ministries (Darrell and Andrea know this one well), even…whatever needs to be done so that the work continues.
These are the things I am concentrating on today. Prayers…blessings…friendships…sacrifice…love.
I need to do this…especially on a rainy Monday morning when all I really want to do is go back to bed and shut the world out a little longer.
There’s always something greater to consider…something more profound to see than just the rain.
Peace to you.
