so this week has not been a shining example of my goddess-ish domesticity…

our refrigerator was broken all week, so we’ve eaten take-out every night (hence the chinese take-out debacle).  and i just haven’t felt well all week, so my kids have had to resort to hanging out in my bedroom if they want to spend time with me.  i haven’t even felt like blogging…

but, we had baptisms here wednesday night, so i did get my house relatively clean - then, we road the harley to bath & body works yesterday to pick up some fall scents for the house.  (i picked up some “old time pottery” decor on monday!)  so at least the house smells like cinnamon and pumpkin and there are random fallish accoutrement strewn around….

but still…even that hasn’t gotten me in the domestic mood.

and now there are more storms on the horizon, and next week could be gray and dreary again….

oh well, at least i have my pumpkins and cinnamon.  and this evening was nice enough to sit on the front porch and watch the world go by (i didn’t realize how much i had missed that)…

and the sun is shining tonight, so i guess i should enjoy it while i can.

maybe after the storms pass, the crisp fall weather (like on all those t-shows) will appear.  i’ve already gotten my sweaters out…
so, i have cinnamon, pumpkins, sweaters, my front porch…and refrigeration.  who could ask for more?
