Here’s to happiness…

Byron and I spent our honeymoon in Galveston…almost exactly 19 years ago.  Last fall we went back…

It’s natural to think that some things will always be there to revisit.  After all, Galveston survived the storm of 1900 that killed thousands of people…they survived and rebuilt.

Now Galveston is in ruins once again…our prayers go out to everyone displaced or hurting because of the Gulf Coast storms.

It’s hard to imagine that the very places we saw just a few months ago may no longer be there.

I guess I’m just glad that we went back while we could - I guess it’s a reminder that all we have is today…this moment.

This may seem like an odd thing to blog about on “Happy Wednesday”, but really it’s not.  I’ve been reminded that I should celebrate all the good things in life…all the blessings - every day…

…and especially on “Happy Wednesday”.

Here’s to not taking anything for granted -  every breath is a gift.

Now I think I’ll go hug my kids…

Peace out.
