Keeping the light on…

As I’ve mentioned before, Halloween isn’t my favorite “holiday”…I’m just not into it, as a rule.

But, I am into connecting with people.  I am into seeing children smile.  I am into being able to invite them to C3 where they will hear about the story and love of God!

So, I’m looking at Halloween a little differently tonight.

I’m happily packing up bags (…and bags…) of candy with “Boo Cards” telling families about our children’s programs at C3.  I’m happily planning on sitting on my front porch for hours waiting to “ooh and aah” over all the little princesses and super heroes.  I’m even happily preparing myself for the random teen/young adult who will love to see my horrified expression at their “undead” costume…

I’m not into all the trappings of Halloween…but I am “into” meeting families where they are -

….and - hopefully - tonight, “where they are” will include MY FRONT PORCH!! :-)

I’ll keep the light on….

Peace.
