Sugar and Snap!…don’t judge me!

so this morning was CRAZY!  i worked on Nate’s report super late, so wasn’t really feelin’ the whole wake up bright-eyed thang!  but, everything needed to be printed-up, so…..

…and, of course, i still had to make a batch of “bohemian beef stroganoff” for him to take to school!

CAN I JUST SAY THAT IF THERE’S ANYTHING THAT CAN MAKE A CRAZY MORNING CRAZIER, IT’S TRYING TO COOK BEEF WHILE THE SUN’S STILL COMING UP!!!  you might say, “angie, why didn’t you plan ahead and make it the night before?”…

well, then how could i blog about my crazy morning if i had done something as organized as all that?!!

so, as i’m browning stew meat, making a sauce, and boiling egg noodles, and fixing breakfast…..

ethan reminded me that it was “PICTURE DAY“!….

of course it is, i thought…..OF COURSE IT IS! - as the noodles began to boil over and i realized that we were down to our last 2 bowls…SOMEBODY REALLY NEEDS TO DO SOME DISHES AROUND HERE…oh yeah, i’m in charge of that……..(SUGAR AND SNAP! - what i say in my head when i want to say a bad word….)

anyway, so by the time the kids got off to school, i was sitting in the corner staring into space, muttering to myself about random points of interest regarding “The Czech Republic”…

i wonder how they say “sugar and snap” in czech!

poor andrea and amanda - they had to have breakfast with “the crazy lady who mutters to herself in some language we’ve never heard before…is that polish?”

but i digress…

somebody still needs to do some dishes….

sigh…

Another Happy Wednesday……

so i don’t really have anything interesting to say.  i’ve not been feeling very well, but that’s not news-worthy….

i’ve really enjoyed researching Czechoslovakia for Nate’s ancestry report.

i want to go to Prague so badly and take photos….their architecture is, of course, phenomenal.  i could definitely do a whole book in just black and white!

i’ve also had fun researching the “Navratil” name….i love “family tree” stuff!

went to Wal-mart again today…….had fun looking at Christmas decorations…..

…but didn’t buy much as i wasn’t feeling very well.

so, there we are back to that….

oh well, Happy Wednesday!

And Another Thing…

So, I have a passionate obsession with the sky!  Especially at dusk when it turns all “lavender/vanilla”:

A little while ago I wrote this post about my Bohemian roots….

And as I was continuing my Czechoslovakia research, I came across this pic of Prague with it’s beautiful sky:

….looks familiar to me somehow - no wonder I love living here in “The Park” and watching the Florida sky change.  Some things are just in your blood…..even if you don’t know it!

Random Craziness from my Bohemia….

Okay, so I recently wrote a post about “beef stroganoff“…

…anyway, so today I’ve been researching “Czechoslovakia” for a project Nate is working on about his ancestry.  I already knew that I am deeply in touch with my Bohemian roots (If this was ever in doubt, all someone has to do is look at my “outfit” choices…and, well, case-closed!)….

So, as I was looking up Czech recipes for Nate to bring a sample food to class, I noticed the first item on the list…….

BOHEMIAN BEEF STROGANOFF!!!!!!!!!!

Spooky!

I love that kind of stuff…..it just gives the “voices in my head” a little more clarity… :-)
