The Remains of the Day

The sky was so beautiful as we headed to C3 this morning….

I do have to confess, I had another “blonde moment” as I admired it, though….

On one side of the car was a gorgeous full moon fading away…looking mysterious.  On the other, the brilliant sun rising.  So, I said, “Oh, look at the sky, Byron.  A full moon on one side…and look a ‘full sun’ on the other!”  Then, I laughed at myself…but proceeded to make it worse by saying, “Isn’t it neat how the sun and moon are exactly opposite each other?”

Byron gently replied, “Yes, dear, that’s kind of how it works….”

….I laughed at myself the rest of the way.  I did say to him, “Does it ever amaze you how stupid I can sound sometimes?”……he didn’t answer.

But, the morning was beautiful in spite of my blondeness…

…beautiful C3!

It’s like a full moon and a brilliant sunrise…all at once!

Thank you, C3, for being the highlight of my week!

Peace to you all…

My “Winter By the Sea”…

…find out about it here:

Where are you Christmas?

So, I’m having a hard time believing that we’re well into January…where did Christmas go?

I was having “issues” with my camera over the holidays, so very few of my pictures turned out, but here are a few:

Nate and Ethan checking out what Santa left…and admiring his ability to put away some cookies!

(they’re all a little dark and blurry)

The boys got some new wheels!

Ethan's ready to ride!

Ethan is ready 2 ride!

Now into the family room to exchange gifts from the fam:

(At this point, I gave up on my camara and Kayleigh took over with hers!)

It was a nice day - 21 people fed and I was ready to crash…but nice anyway!

Next, I’ll post pics from the rest of our holiday….

…so, see you then…

Peace.

Confessions of a blonde blogger….

Okay, so….I’m apparently extremely shallow…..(please, no exclamations of “duh!” or “and….”)

…anyway, I’m more shallow than I even knew.

Here’s the deal:

I haven’t been great about blogging lately…..for a couple of reasons.  The more noble sounding reason is that I haven’t been well, and I grew weary of blogging about how I didn’t feel well.  The other…more unseemly reason is that my blog-stats seemed to be tanking…..and the lower they fell, the less I felt like blogging……so….

I know, I know…how shallow!  But, it gets worse….

Yesterday, I found out that my blog stats have been incorrect - they are really better….much better than I thought…

So, here I am with a sudden renewed desire to blog…., still feeling just as sick, but blogging….you do the math!

Oh well, I would love to espouse my virtue as a writer…that I write for no other reason save personal expression…a passion for the craft……blah-dee-blah-blah……

And since I am a writer, I could probably convince you of my deepest sincerity…..

But, do not be deceived - I’m nothing more than a shallow blogger looking for approval through the fickle graphs and charts of the “wide world of web”…

That’s me…

My name is Angie, and I just can’t seem to help myself!

So, there you go and there you are.

The first step toward recovery is acknowledging that you have a problem, right?

.I do feel a little better now.

So…peace!
