….so, some of you know that I have said I want to be the Mayor of Kissimmee, Florida - where I grew up. I wept when I saw that they had torn down the old movie theater…although I understand it was terribly damaged during a storm. And I ranted and raved over the building of highrise townhomes in place of said beloved movie theater…..
Anyway,….
This is what Byron dreamed last night:
- I had become the mayor of Kissimmee - and lived in the “White House” on an abandoned lot (that used to have an old dilapidated house on it - always scared me as a child!) - I was quoted to say, “This lot looks atrocious!” in the paper…
- I fixed up the lot - with a beautiful lake and ZEBRAS RUNNING AROUND EVERYWHERE!
- I rode around in a pink limousine!
- I tore down all the new buildings and brought back the old ones….much to the chagrin of the developers!
- I built an old fashioned ice cream parlor……..that only served one flavor: RUM RAISIN!
- I rode in the “Kissmmee Day Parade” (my invention) on a zebra with a pink saddle - with shiny silver spurs (that I insisted were only for show so they wouldn’t hurt the zebra) on turquoise cowboy boots!
- I gave the people back their town…..(whatever that means)
- All the downtrodden and less fortunate people LOVED me…….and all the powerful people HATED me.
- The security detail had to get help from the Secret Service - they said to Byron, “Your wife is going to “transition” this town just like you transitioned the church - and the people who ‘run this town’ are ticked!!”
- ….so we had to have lots of security. (so what’s new?)
I told Byron, “Ew…it sounds like I was a DIVA!”….and he just said, “Yeah………but a nice one!”
Then I woke up this morning, and read on FACEBOOK that there’s a meeting tonight to save the cattle ranch near where I grew up!!…..spooky……
Maybe I’ll go and it will be the beginning of a beautiful “relationship”…..
…..Washington, watch out!!
Peace

I was with you until you mentioned Rum Raisin icecream. Yuck!
