…my sweet little boy is turning into a man!

My Nate the Great!

12 years ago, a little boy was born into my decidedly….female-oriented life.  My parents both had sisters, I was one of four girls, and I had already had 2 precious daughters of my own…

Then came Nate the Great….

And since I was so unrehearsed as to the “ways of a boy”, God mercifully blessed me with a first son that was “all boy”, but yet still…somehow….wonderfully loving and sensitive to my “female sensibilities” and to my……love of breakable antiques and glass knick-knacks! I would hear other mothers speak of their “holy terror” sons…..and I would just smile…..

But, really, I couldn’t relate.

The thing is…..Nate’s growing up - all of a sudden…and right before my very eyes!

He’s going fast…

…when did this happen?!!

...and WHY IS HE ENJOYING IT SO MUCH!!

It truly is my joy to see you turning into such a strong young man….

But, please Buddy, don’t go so fast…...just don’t go quite so fast!
