So, the rest of August may be stormy for my little part of the world - maybe not, maybe they will pass right over - maybe we will make it all the way from Ana and Bill to…whatever the “Z” storm is without having to batten down the hatches (which would be nice since I have no earthly idea how to “batten down the hatches”, anyway!).

There are all kinds of storms, though. Yesterday, felt like one to me. For the first time since I can remember, I couldn’t sing - stepped into the lights - felt like the room was spinning…..and ended up spending both services lying across the front row of an adjacent theater. (BTW, they could make some extra money renting out space as a refrigerator to a meat packing plant…but, I digress).
So, I was reading this morning - trying to “batten down the hatches”, I suppose:
Psalm 57
For the director of music. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” Of David. A miktam . When he had fled from Saul into the cave. [a]
1 Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me,
for in you my soul takes refuge.
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings
until the disaster has passed.

2 I cry out to God Most High,
to God, who fulfills {his purpose} for me.
3 He sends from heaven and saves me,
rebuking those who hotly pursue me;
Selah
God sends his love and his faithfulness.
I guess I needed to remember that whatever the storm….I’m not left without a shelter.
Peace.

Thanks. I needed that.
I was wondering what happened to you yesterday. Missed seeing you.
Love,
Patti
I’m sorry you’re still battling your health, so many prayers for you.
I get to have yet another “scope’ shoved down my throat to look at my stomach, an U/S of my gallbladder and MORE blood work.
When they find out what’s wrong with us we can write a book and save many others much time and money.
Patti: You, Taylor and Bill continue to be in my prayers…peace and strength to you. Love…
Colleen: Yes…you are right my friend - someone should benefit from our struggles, I suppose. ….like the miners did from those little canaries…
Love and peace to you too. Oh yes, and Happy Birthday, my sweet friend!
