Happy, Happy…(it is Wednesday, isn’t it?)

So, it’s a beautiful day. Sunny and warm. Just like spring should be in “The Sunshine State”.

I potted some red geraniums on the front porch a couple of days ago…I LOVE red geraniums…they are such a happy flower. Now, I’m trying to find a good spot for my bird feeders…I miss my red cardinals so.

I also need to find a good spot for my roses - not on the back porch, though - Axel loves to eat my plants - and I don’t think the thorns would deter him at all…oh well, that’s my Axel Barbarian! (emphasis on the “barbarian” part). He’s made mince-meat of a couple of gardenias I was getting ready to plant…mainly to cover the “big dog scent” that’s taking over the porch area….I guess he didn’t want me to plant something that would make things smell “pretty”…barbarian that he is!

I can’t believe that this coming Sunday is Easter. This year is already going by so fast…at least spring is on the way! :-)

Now I can become completely obsessed again with my flowers and songbirds…and forgo my obsession with rum raisin ice cream and butterfinger cones!

I still haven’t made it to yoga class…I will, though. I can feel the yoga-ish-ness building. I think yoga will also be one of my springtime obsessions…

Anyway, Happy Wednesday. Happy, happy - it’s almost Easter, so springtime is officially here, and I’m gonna be a rose-planting, bird-watching, yoga-doing, obsessed Florida girl…yea! Happy Wednesday! Happy, happy - I’m not gonna be a hibernating-cuz-it’s-too-cold, sad because it’s too cloudy, Jewel-listening, rum raisin eating, non-yoga doing, just as obsessed only with the wrong stuff, Florida girl!

(Of course, my obsession with Starbucks is multi-seasonal…What? I can’t be expected to be a total chameleon! Great espresso makes a cold/dreary day warmer and a bright and sunny day that much brighter and sunnier!) :-)
So, Happy Wednesday…and peace out.

Happy Wednesday…

So, Happy Wednesday. Happy, happy Wednesday…At this juncture, I don’t really have anything more to say. I’m looking for a good Yoga class - one that doesn’t encourage or tolerate pointing and laughing at…hmm…like really tall, clutzy blondes who were, at one time, very flexible and fluid, but now…not so much. That’s the kind of class I’m looking for…the kind of class where no one ever yells or says “feel the burn” or “No pain, no gain!” or “How did you let yourself get in this shape?” or “Did I see you at the ice cream shop ordering a caramel sundae with rum raisin ice cream? Do you really think that was the wisest choice…?”….blah de blahh blahh… I’m looking for the kind of class with no judgements…only love - how else can I possibly hope to ever achieve the inverted lotus position unless I am inundated with softly spoken words of affirmation…and the music of Enya!

A really cute Yoga outfit and bag wouldn’t hurt either…

I think I will heal faster and get in touch with my “inner chee”…,or whatever, a whole lot sooner if only I can look really cute whilst doing it! :-)

Loads of affirmation, cute attire, and beautiful music…oh yeah, and some semblance of a moderate work out…that’s what I’m looking for in my dream Yoga class. Maybe I should just start my own and be the instructor! I would make everyone in my class feel so much better about themselves - and isn’t that what it’s all about anyway: helping my fellowman/woman feel better! Sounds good to me. Everyone wins…well, except for the whole getting healthier and more “in shape” thing…

Anyway, Happy Wednesday.

Peace. (said in a very nonthreatening, affirming tone and with a very pleasant expression… :-) )

Drama Queens Make Phenom Mayors…promise!

Happy Wednesday! :-)
So, I finally did go to a park. We took the boys to get Italian ices - I opted for ice cream: rum raisin with Reese’s mixed-in in a butterfinger waffle cone….what?! It was phenom…then, I began to regret it - hence the walk to the park!

We took Axel with us. The park was gorgeous with lots of hanging moss. It’s the kind of park I could write a poem in. It had oak trees like the ones that I used to climb while growing up in Kissimmee…I used to dream of being the mayor of Kissimmee, but that’s a whole ‘nother story.

I’ve been really working on organizing my closet - it’s really coming along nicely. This morning Ethan couldn’t find socks, so we went to my closet and opened a drawer with neatly folded socks in it…he gasped and said in breathless amazement, “Mom, why didn’t you tell me about this place!” - That motivated me to color coordinate my hanging clothes…I’m hoping this will be my new obsession…and not rum raisin, Reese’s, butterfinger waffle cone ice cream!!

Happy Wednesday. It’s been a good day - kind of quiet, but good. I can feel a migraine coming on, probably because I need to write some poetry, but I don’t feel like it, so I’m gonna get a raging headache instead. Do I sound as crazy as I seem to myself?

This blog is beginning to sound like a conversation…with myself - not a first, but written down it’s a little freaky! I should just go write a poem and be done with it.

Gotta run now, and go paint another room turquoise! Not super-bright turquoise, but a nice soothing blue-green - I’ve moved my ruby-red-fainting-couch and red and turquoise are my new faves…after my “steel gray” kitchen…I’m still in love with that!!! :-)

Okay, now I’m beginning to annoy my own self with my randomness…

Happy, happy Wednesday.

Peace.
