What’s stolen me away…

Forgive me for being so absent lately….

I started putting together a little book of poems, photography and journal excerpts from 2007…

It’s a little like closure for me - finally putting to rest a difficult time in my journey….which was the reason I started blogging in the first place.

Anyway, I finished it today….

You can check it out Here: (”Becoming…a personal journey toward passion and peace”)

Thanks for continuing to read…even when I’ve been so hard to find lately.  It means a lot to me…..

Peace..

Quiet Monday…

…so I just started reading “Atonement” - the movie looks promising, but I wanted to read the book first so I could see it in my mind before I see it on the screen.

It’s been a nice Monday so far - got to spend some time walking around looking at books in Barnes & Noble. That’s one of my favorite things to do. I love books - the look of them - the smell of them (and it doesn’t hurt that they have a Starbucks too…).

Now I’m sitting outside Panera enjoying their free wifi - a wonderful thing! - and soon I’ll be off to the races again. But for a moment I’m pausing just to do nothing…it’s Monday - that’s my favorite thing to do on Monday.

Yesterday was great again - space is going to become our main issue, but it’s a great problem to have. It’s wonderful to see so many faces of people I don’t recognize - it’s also wonderful to see the faces of those who I do that have invested so much and worked so hard to make all of this possible. It’s a beautiful and humbling thing.

I think I’ll get back to my book while I have a second of quiet…

peace and quiet

Peace to you all.

Remember When It Rained…

Pride & Prejudice - remember when it rained

In keeping with my present
desire to find beauty in everything, I have been thinking about books…and of course, Jane Austen immediately comes to mind.

There’s something simplistic and poetic about her love stories…the tangled mess of falling in love.

This is one of my favorites.

Happy Wednesday - I’ll leave you with this exchange.
I just love the beauty in such dramatic expressions:

(Pride and Prejudice):

“Mr. Darcy: Miss Elizabeth. I have struggled in vain and I can bear it no longer. These past months have been a torment. I came to Rosings with the single object of seeing you… I had to see you. I have fought against my better judgment, my family’s expectations, the inferiority of your birth by rank and circumstance. All these things I am willing to put aside and ask you to end my agony.

Elizabeth Bennet: I don’t understand.

Mr. Darcy: I love you.”

It doesn’t get any more dramatic, yet simple than that!

Peace.
