The Remains of the Day - Pictorial Review

Below, I wrote about our first weekend as a “theater church”. Here are just a few pics - more will come in the following weeks…

Here’s one of our beautiful, honkin’ trailers! :-)

One Honkin’ Trailer!

And another (there are three in all).

A Church on the move!

C3 Rocks!

The beautiful praise music, the cool stage, all of it…it wouldn’t have been possible without all of the volunteers: The Crew: “Setting up…early on Sat. morning”

Too busy to pose…

And “The Staff”: “Getting the Lobby ready to go” , and “arriving bright and early Sat. morning to help out”.

These commited C3′ers show that volunteering can be fun! At C3, kids are a priority - The C3 Kids Team worked hard to make all of the kids areas safe, fun and efficient! Miss Verna and Monica love the C3 Kids! Powerhouse was a blast as the C3 Kids Team rocked the house.

clubhouse was a blast!

and the Clubhouse puppets were awesome!

Our smallest C3′ers were not forgotten - they had a beautiful and safe environment of their own…

…complete with a clean floor put down every week!

Barry, Verna, and Travis and “Staff” worked hard to make the check-in process run as smoothly as possible.

And Brandon and Barry O. set the lighting and computers. So many volunteers made the morning a success.

Sat. morning set up

They paved the way for Byron to speak passionately about the importance of investing in others.
The awesome volunteers of C3 church proved that they understood this principle. We are all so grateful and know that God will bless all of their efforts. Sunday was a wonderful day…and just a preview of what’s to come so it will only get better and better! I’m so privileged to be among the group of people that make up the community of faith that is…C3.

Peace and thanks to you all.

The Remains of the Day

There are so many things I could say…in the “remains” of this day.

The service this morning was beautiful - every part. I feel sorry for those who didn’t get to experience what I felt this morning. The people were so involved…so “present”, and you could feel the Spirit in the room in a tangible way.

We had a ton of work to do after the service. I thought I would be sad to see everything so…empty, but by the time we were finished, I was more than ready to go - ready to move on, and close the door.

My new C3 shirts arrived. They’re awesome. (Love Wins!) Yea!!

I’m more exhausted than I’ve been in a while…running on empty. I need to spend tomorrow cooking and cleaning - so I better get at least a little rest. Oh well, I’ll rest on the 26th! I just need to push through a little harder ’til then…

And I’m sure I’ll think of some gift or something I’ve forgotten…

And I need to make another batch of candles…

I made a dozen on Friday, 3 dozen last night, and I still need to make a couple dozen more…

So, I better go to sleep since, tomorrow, my day is already so planned out. But, I’ll put on some Christmas music - and there’s always the Christmas Eve marathon of “A Christmas Story” on all day…

It will be glorious, I’m sure…

Peace to you.

Fresh Wind Blowing…

So, today will go down in history as a crazy day for the Bledsoe household…not that that’s anything new, actually.

Kayleigh got her driver’s license today - I drove to the DMV (on the expressway - I’m okay with that…), and she drove home (on the expressway - usually avoided like the plague) - and we survived! Yea, Kayleigh!!

Ashley had to take a last minute exam - Byron had about 15 minutes notice to get her to the school!  Crazy, crazy…

We went to a holiday luncheon with Nate in his cafeteria - he was so happy we were there, and wanted us to meet his friends. It was nice to feel the love (I’m enjoying it while I can, just waiting for the middle school years to change all that!).

Ethan went to see The Nutcracker. He said it was boring. No food. No drinks. And they wouldn’t even let him sleep! And he was very disturbed by the attire (I do think that men in tights probably should disturb a six year old!).

We had staff meeting at Barnie’s. It was nice to discuss the move, while in plain sight of the theater.

Then, someone approached…

I thought we would be asked to take our meeting elsewhere…

But, he (an employee of the theater, I assume) asked if we were from C3 church - and then he said, “I just want to thank you for what your doing out here…we’re all so excited…”

It was so refreshing.

Between that and the fourth grader who said to Byron, “I’m coming to church on Sunday!” with a huge smile on her face, I have been thoroughly encouraged today. I needed it so much, too.

There’s a fresh wind blowing…and it’s coming like a Mack truck.

Be encouraged!

Peace.

The Women of C3

In my desire to continue to “connect”, I’ve decided to start a separate blog for the women of C3…to keep us connected, give a forum for discussion among the “graceful barbarians” of C3, and to inform and inspire regarding the community projects and events we will be planning for the women of C3.

Check it out. Leave comments, ideas, and inspiration for the rest of us in the C3 community of faith.

I will be periodically highlighting women who are…so C3 - posting upcoming events and reminders - and developing an album page of pics.

Hope you participate and are encouraged and uplifted.

The women of C3 rock.

Remember: Love Wins!

Peace.
