The Remains of THIS Day…

Many have tried to define C3…what C3 really means.

They’ve tried to tell us what we are and what we are really about.

This morning we told them…loud and clear - lest there be any confusion.

Last month we baptized 16. This month…this morning we baptized 21.

Twenty-one lives changed. Twenty-one new Christ-followers. Twenty-one more who are so C3…

So, if you’re confused or searching for a definition of what C3 means. Hopefully, today will help you in your search.

Define us by what we are passionate about.

There are now 21 more to be reckoned with.

C3 is a movement…a journey of Barbaric Grace. We won’t stop. We won’t quit. Nothing will cause us to back down now.

And this is just the beginning of the story.

So, if this causes you to experience any emotion except sheer and utter joy, well…

Fair Warning.

Reprise

Singing “Lead Me to the Cross” was a spiritual experience for me, tonight. I was struck by the second verse. It moved me.

“You were, as I, tempted and tried - Human.

The Word became flesh - bore my sin in death.

Now You’re risen.

Everything I once held dear - I count it all as loss…Lead me to the cross.” (Hillsong United)

Barbaric Grace may sound like an oxymoron. But, Jesus embodied the fulfillment of perfect and total grace…uncivilized, unstoppable, and limitless grace.

I live as a testimony of a…the barbaric grace of a Savior who would let nothing stand in His way to redeem me…to buy me back. He became uncivilized to reach me where I was - to be my ransom.

Barbaric Grace - I embrace it…I desire to live it.

Because it saved my life, and now it leads me back to the place where it all began…the cross.

“Lord, I lay me down - Lead me to the cross.”
Peace.

Live the Love.

Fight the fear.

Walk the Way.

Embrace the Grace.

Embrace Barbaric Grace.

Love wins. Love wins. Love wins…

Peace.

Strength in my Weakness

So, as I wrote before I’ve been feeling… “blah” all day. I just thought it was all of the rain.

Then, as i was blow-drying my hair, I noticed my underarms looked… weird - swollen. I took my temp.: Fever, again! Now I know why I haven’t felt well the past couple of days. I haven’t just been uninspired - I’ve been sick.

But, tomorrow is Sunday… at C3. So, I need to be well. It will get me over my case of the “blahs”.

There’s a wealth of inspiration to be found there.

Are you bored with life? Then throw yourself into some work you believe in with all your heart, live for it, die for it, and you will find happiness that you had thought could never by yours.” Dale Carnegie.

The mission, the love, even the struggle… these things inspire me - they give me strength… even when, physically, I’m so far from it. Mother Teresa wrote:

There are no great things, only small things with great love. Happy are those.”

So, I will find my happiness, inspiration, and strength in these things. She (Mother Teresa) also wrote:

Many people mistake our work for our vocation. Our vocation is the love of Jesus.”

How inspiring! The Word explains it well in 2 Corinthians 12:9:

He told me, ‘My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness.’ Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size - abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become.” (The Message)

Peace.
