Monday Musings…

It’s the first day of fall!  Welcome Autumn, I love you so….

I love all the trappings of Fall…

I’m having “fun” speed cleaning…which just means I clean like a whirlwind…for a minute, then I stop and do something else for a minute….then back to cleaning…..etc….

This never worked when my kids were home all day.  Just when I would tackle one problem area…they would (mainly the boys, of course) create a whole new “problem area”…it was a vicious cycle!

But, today I’m letting little things make me happy…

…the smell of Pledge and Windex…the fact that I don’t have to wear any makeup…..and beautiful pics of mountain flowers…

So, that’s my Monday plan….

peace out…

Peace to the out...dog!

Peace to the out...dog!

Happy Wednesday to You (to be hummed to the tune of Happy Birthday…please - preferably, just like Michael from The Office…with harmony!)

Okay, so that’s the longest title EVER! Actually, I think the title will be longer than the post.

Today I have to be OCD about cleaning my house and packing, so that when we leave on Friday I don’t have to worry about:

If I die in a car accident on the way, what will people think as they try to find something suitable to bury me in…as my closet and drawers are unsightly and disorganized. So, “they” will shake their heads and say things like, “I always suspected that her house was a disaster”, or “…her poor family - having to live with such a disorganized pantry…you can’t even find the canned corn!!!” - and when they see the linen closet…!

Anyway, these are the things I will worry about as I cross the TWENTY-THREE mile bridge in Louisiana - with scissors in my hands, just in case we go off the bridge and I have to cut off our seat-belts and break the glass to escape! (I’m like a walking 20/20 special!)

But, apparently, I’d much rather blog about all I need to do than…actually do it. It’s called responsibility! My blogging public demands to know my thoughts on these things. Sometimes the celebrity of this blog (HA!) can feel overwhelming (HA, HA) - but, I press on…If only I could just do my housework without feeling the pressure to be an “open book”. If only…

Oh no, I’m running out of things to say - and the dryer is finished! I think I feel a poem coming on…

Just kidding - I just need to focus and remember how I’ll feel when I’m crossing that bridge!

Maybe I just need to watch a little more HGTV…where’s that remote!

Have a very Happy Wednesday! Peace.
