Just So Ya Know…

I was reading Blonde Jokes today - remembering how I used to post the ones I thought were funny…until I ran out of clean ones…

…anyway…

So, I found the following joke and read it to Kayleigh:

“Two blondes had driven across the country to see Disney World in Florida.

As they approached it and got onto the final stretch of highway, they saw a sign saying “Disney World Left!”

After thinking for a minute, the driver blonde said “Oh well!” and started driving back home.”

So, Kayleigh thought for a second and said,

“I don’t get it!  How would they get home by turning left??”

Good thing Byron was in the room or we might still be trying to figure each other….and the blonde jokes out!

….and that is what happens when a brunette is raised by a TRUE BLONDE! :-)

Peace out, ya’ll!

The Sun Also Rises…

…even on a Monday…

I think this photo looks like an impressionist painting….it makes me happy!  I have a love affair with the sky….and I always have.  I used to stare at the clouds, as a child, and pretend I was up there - in their “fluffiness”……….I still have my head in the clouds, most days.

I’ve set aside today to look for my little shopping cart girl. I’ve been dreaming about her a lot lately…and this post reminded me that sometimes dreams can inspire us to work harder - that I can’t ever forget those who can’t help themselves.

I have this dream that, maybe someday, my little shopping cart girl will be able to stare at the clouds too, and dream her little girl dreams….

…and maybe I can help her make one or two come true.

That would really be a dream to me.

Peace.

Just in case the Weather Channel goes under….

This is how I feel today: . But at least working on my photos some more has helped with my mood. You can see them HERE.

There’s not really anything more to say…“I got nothin“.

That storm this evening was crazy…I love the rain, but that was a little much!

So, now you’ve been sufficiently updated on both my mood and the weather, I’m sure you can rest a little easier tonight. I’ll try to be a more exciting blogger tomorrow…

Peace out.

A Monday is a Monday is a…

Monday…infinity.

Remember when it was cool to play the “one-up” game where you would go back and forth until someone would “win” by saying “infinity.” - that is, until someone else would start adding things to infinity like “infinity plus a kazillion”…but I digress.

Actually, I can’t really “digress” since I have no real point…but I digress. (Apparently, now whenever I decide to change my topic, I just type “but I digress” and voila: said topic changed.

I’m still feeling the energy from the services yesterday. I’m always worn out on Monday, but there were so many things that were such an encouragement to me. Our numbers were up even though it’s summertime, giving has increased greatly, and people are excited about finding their place to minister to the community around them - you can see it in their eyes.

It’s such an understatement for me to say “I really needed that!” - I can’t possibly verbalize how much I needed it…desperately.

Byron spoke about how we can all get weary from our laboring - especially in a portable church - and I’ve been so weary lately. But one way we can combat this is by stopping to really see the fruits of our labor…and of the hand of God.

So, today is a typical Monday…and it’s not - all at the same time…

So it’s all good.

Infinity…final. :-)
